Detect Water Sea Pollution Using Fish Robotics

Essex scientists develop more easy, effective and efficient way to monitoring water pollution, especially sea water in ports. The team will develop autonomous fish equipped with chemical sensors, which will find pollutants and create a real-time 3D map of the port, showing what chemicals are present and where.

Bible Scribe Robot Arm from Robotlab

Bible Scribe is how they name this remarkable robot project that was done in 2007. This robot was developed by robotlab. The Bible Scribe Robot Arm uses industrial robot arm to write down the bible and its contents on papers. Bible Scribe Robot Arm could write in lines with high precision and remarkably neat. More than just write the bible on the order this robot is able to draw it on calligraphic lines. This intelligent industrial robot arm works like a writing bible monk, it creates the text step by step. For the whole book the Bible Scribe Robot Arm takes about seven months. This is starting with the Old Testament and the books of Moses until it completes the 66 books of bible.

Giant Spider Machine By La Machine

This giant mechanical spider included to one of the world largest machines ever built. This giant mechanical machine is part of French company named La Machine’s free theater titled “Les Mecaniques Servants”. This giant mechanical spider has been shown up in several places like in Japan, the waterfront in Liverpool, or lately in France. This super giant mechanical spider stands in 50 feet tall or about 15 meters and weights about 37 ton. The giant spider appearance in Liverpool is a part of the city’s European capital of culture celebrations.

Second Level of Honda in Humanoid Robot Development

The first humanoid experimental humanoid robot EO could walk in a very slow steps. In 1987-1991 Honda studied on how human walk in order to achieve a fast walking pace for their humanoid robot. This was used to realize their two-legged walking robot. The first model was E1 (Experimental Model 1). E1 was the earliest prototype for the models that could walk in 0.25km/h. E1 moved in a certain different of movement between the two legs.

Nimbro Strong Arms Robot Cosero

Cosero is one of the Nimbro robots collections. Cocero name is came from the COgnitive SErvice RObot. Cosero started in operating this year in fall. This robot is quite similar with the Dynamaid robot. It is able to recognize object and grasp object like glass or can. Cosero is a wheel based robot with an eight-wheeled omnidirectional base and equipped with movable trunk, two anthropomorphic arms, and movable sensor head. Cosero arms are stronger than the arms on the Dynamaid. Equipments that are placed in this robot to support the robot ability are four laser range finders, a camera, two color cameras, and a directional microphone.

Unmanned Ground Vehicle Robotic Weapon System For Riot Control

This robot could be used in different kind of applications like military, surveillance, security service, riot control, hostage situation, police, law enforcement, border patrol, etc. Robotic Weapon is a UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) that could be a real versatile robot with the electric 4WD vehicle and night vision. This UGV equipped with all aluminum component to make it strong enough in any different kind of environments. There is a Mil-Sim A5 paintball gun installed on this UGV. This design creates a real law enforcement robot. With the paintball gun, wireless camera, and Pepper Balls attached on it this robot

Acrobatic Robot Super Mechano Boy

Yamakita Lab was working on a humanoid robot that was able to do the acrobatic in between 1999-2001. This acrobatic robot named Super Mechano Boy. SMB it was the way they short its name, stood in 50cm tall and weight 4kg. This robot equipped with eight joints and it seemed that Yamakita worked on this robot to replicate the gymnastic motion. Mechano Boy could perform the gym action quite well on a wire; Yamakita seemed to have this project in order to study the balance on robotic motion.
