Womanoid Catwalk Model Robot

Robot as model, what awesome! It’s almost natural. Its or she has fluid movement and so expressive. This humanoid girl designed as usual Japanese woman between ages of 19 to 29. Call as HRP-4C, this robot girl has 30 motors in its body that allow it to walk and move its arms and eight facial motors for blinking, smiling, and expressing emotions akin to anger and surprise.

Robot Help Human In Improving Life Both Home And Work

Ashutosh Saxena, an assistant professor of computer science is working to make it possible to bring robot at homes and offices. Ashutosh Saxena leads Cornell’s Personal Robotics Lab develops high-leveled robot. This lab project goals are making a program for robot that can help human like mentioned in the first of this article, all done without human intervention. Lots of people belief that robot will help human life into a better level, productive and efficient.

iWalk’s Precise PowerFoot BiOM

It was said to be the most precise bionic lower leg system that replace the lost muscle function. Using this robotic lower leg you do not have to be stressed in walking. The PowerFoot BIOM works well so that user will walk without effort. It will bring you to the ordinary walk just like normal people walk. Invented by MIT professor named Hugh Herr this precise robotic lower limb’s system works well and simulates the prefect works of ankle. It different with the previous passive carbon fiber prosthetic feet this robotic lower leg system works twice better.

Israeli Autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle Guardium

Israel Aerospace Industries and Elbit Systems developed an autonomous unmanned ground vehicle or UGV called Guardium. Guardium UGV is an autonomous observation system which could be carried out for routine patrol. This vehicle is applicable to be used to make perimeter and hold enemies in line while waiting for security support arrive. Equipped with automated tactical positioning system this UGV is capable of working autonomously at speed up to 80 km per hour. With TomCar chassis this vehicle is able of carrying payload up to 300 kg including the protective armor shield.

Red Snapper Robot Fish

Here is another robot fish that looks like a real fish and swims just like one of them. This robot fish appears like a red snapper fish with its shiny red scale. This red snapper robot fish was built by engineers at the University of Kitakyushu that was led by professor Ikuo Yamamoto. Their red snapper robot fish was developed to explore underwater area. This red snapper robot fish named “Tai-robot-kun” with realistic body made of silicone covered with hand-painted shiny red scale. Tai-robot-kun is given a unique movement system which mimicking a real swimming fish. The propulsion system made on this red snapper robot fish allows the robot fish to swim just like a real swimming fish (check the video bellow).

Robotex: A Place Where Metal And Brains Meet

There are many kinds of robot competition in worldwide; one of the biggest is the Robocup. For some country they have their annual national scientific and engineering competition like Estonia does. They named their robotic competition as Robotex with their slogan “Where brains and metal meet”. This competition started in 2001 where took place in Tallinn University of Technology on November 9th. In this competition students of the university and University of Tartu should build robot that able to move along the marked track and also pass the obstacles.
