World’s 10 Best Robot Ever Built ( Number 5 to 1 )

Next for the number 5 world’s best robot ever built is the Da Vinci Surgical System. Introduced in 1999 this surgical system change the whole concept about operating room. The most innovative system on this robot is the robotic arms used on this robot that developed in replicating doctor’s hands perfectly. In number 4 NASA takes part with their Mars rover robots Opportunity and Spirit. Both robots are the robots that sent to Red Planet in 2003 to explore and find clues about past water activities in that planet. An in January 2010 both robots had sent over 132,000 images that convince scientists about water activities in Mars. In number 3 there is the affordable robot product by iRobot Roomba. Founded in 1990 by MIT (Massachusettes Institute of Technology) now this robot has been used in 2 million homes in worldwide to do the dirty work like cleaning floor, scrub floor, or cleaning pool. Close to world’s best number 1 robot there is Tmsuk’s T-52 Enryu from Japan.

Motion Planning for Robotic Arms Possible Factoring

This PDF paper explains factor-guided for motion planning for robotics arms. Motion planning is important to define real application. This robots arm build guidelines present a motion planning algorithm that finds plans of motion from one arm configuration to a goal arm configuration in 2D space assuming no self-collision. Our algorithm is unique in two ways: (a) it utilizes the topology of the arm and obstacles to factor the search space and reduce the complexity of the planning problem using dynamic programming

Gimme Beggar Robot by Chris Eckert

Gimme is a two axis numerically controlled sculpture that pans a room looking for people. Once found, the machine tracks a person, cajoles them into making a donation, and resumes scanning the room searching for potential donors.

The sculpture is controlled by an Arduino Pro Mini. Stepper motors are driven by two Pololu A4983 Stepper Motor Driver Carriers. The microcontroller, stepper drivers, and sensors are all mounted on a custom circuit board made with Eagle CAD.

Attractive Contemporary Robotic Ceramic Lamp Base

More about robotic accessories that you could choose to be given to someone you love that like robot a lot. This robotic lamp base comes with metallic silver finish made of ceramic that strongly hold the lamp and add glance into your room with bright comfortable light. Equipped with foam rubber at the bottom of its base create stability to be put on table or desk. This robotic lamp base requires standard bulb with maximum 100watt. This robotic lamp base comes in 4.5”w x 17”h x 2.5d measurement and ready to change the entire room with future lights.

Botball Educational Robotic Program: Annual Robotics Tournaments

Robotics tournament is an annual event which engages people to create their own robot in a team. Botball Educational Robotic Program is a robotics tournaments that allows middle and high school students in team to attend this robotics competition based on national science education standards. Students use science, engineering, technology, math, and writing skill in designing, building, programming, and documenting robots at Botball Educational Robotic Program. The Botball Educational Robotic Program season begins in fall season for R&D website challenge then moves to Botball educator workshop in winter.

Spider Robot by Dr. Amir Shapiro

It is an interesting video shown from Ben-Gurion University Department of Mechanical Engineering Robotic Lab. The video shown an “underconstrained cable suspended robot capable of maneuvering from one stance space to another by clinging to new contact points.” Like a real spider the robot actually shoots “webs” and hold on to surfaces and allows the robot to move around while hanging. Its hard to collect complete information about this robot, what we do know is that the researchers are interested in planning the motion.

Beautiful Artistic Ad: Transformer-Box Robot And VW Crafter

This following picture shows how a robot rides on the VW Crafter. Perhaps this ad more showing on the Transformer robot idea than the VW itself for some people but it’s a cool idea of having strong VW pickup that could load even the heavyweight boxes!
