Autonomous Aerial Vehicle Named Falcos

Falcos is an autonomous aerial vehicle that developed for civilian application like forest fire investigation, security, environmental monitoring or aerial imagery. This aerial vehicle designed for low altitude only. Falcos developed by LSA or Autonomous System Laboratory with not more than 4 meter long wingspan. Falcos has fixed wings and equipped with electrical propulsion that already tested for operational scenarios. An on-board image processing is developed in order to detect fire on forest fire investigation.

New Lubricant Advertising With Running Marathon Robots

It has been shown on television a new commersial advertisment that used robots as the athlete. This commersial advertisement is advertising a new lubricant from Total. The advertisement shows robots battling in marathon and of course the winner is the one that used Total’s lubricant. This advertisement video taken in three different location, Lebanon, Dubai, and Brazil, and tagged with “make your engine an athlete of the road”. Cool commercial concept showing personifying how powerful the lubricant to a machine.

Scitos A5 The Versatile Mobile Guiding Robot

Scitos A5 is a mobile robot that used to provide information that guide people. The information could be given in form of speech or via touch screen. This robot better to be used inside office building or exhibition. This mobile service guide robot will autonomously approach people and communicate with them. The touch screen is able to provide information by displaying video, this robot also equipped with audio sound system. This system is able in supporting speech and music being played. This 1.5 meter tall robot has a great driving capabilities with walking speed level.

Scitos G5 Mobile Robot: Combination Of Industrial And Research Robot

Scintos G5 is a professional mobile robot platform. This robot project is combining the advantages of industrial and flexibility of research robot. Important things that mobile and interactive robot should have are robustness, longevity, mobility, and flexibility. Those four characteristics are the characteristics of industrial and research robot. The problem is that in developing this kind of combination robot there will be gap. This kind of gap is general problem that occur in developing industrial and research combination robot.

Star Kick A Computer-controlled Table Football

Star Kick is a computer-controlled table football. We used to play this game with our friend in cafeteria or canteen but that was the conventional one, Star Kick is a new one that developed by Institute of Computer Science and adp Gauselmann GmbH. This unique machine equipped with ball recognition system. This system achieved with the installation of camera and PC that controlled this device. The ball and entire pitch area are monitored by the PC. This monitoring system will provide accurate data about the position, speed, and direction of the ball.

Hero An Autonomous Helicopter Project

Hero is one of the main project that developed by Cromat. Cromat main project is trying to develop a new method and technique for aerial and ground mobile robot. They project that this technology could be used for different applications like inspection of utilities, monitoring and detecting disaster, exploration, surveillance, or urban safety. Their subproject that leaded by University of Sevilla is the development of aerial robotic based on RC helicopter. This aerial autonomous robot helicopter integrated with another ground robot. The ground robot named Auriga that leaded by University of Malaga.

IT24-7 Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Wallpaper Robot

Bellow photos are advertisement photos of wallpapers for Windows Server users. They are just some from buch of wallpapers that you could found designed with robotic concepts. Here wher you could check another photo up.

Scitos The Autonomous Tray Transporter

This Scitos robot series is the fully autonomous tray transporter robot that used to carry out the logistics tasks. The robot is given the ability to detect dirty dishes. With this ability the robot could autonomously carry out the dirty dishes to the kitchen to be cleaned. This robot was developed in order to take off the dirty dishes from the table so that human workers only need to focus on serving the consumers. Users could order this robot in the way they like or just fit this robot design with the required environment.

Scitos G5 The Precise Mobile Manipulator Robot

This manipulator robot perhaps is an up grade level of Scitos G5 robot. Scintos G5 Mobile Manipulator is given robotic arm that used to do task precisely. Moreover the addition of the robotic manipulator, Scitos G5 hopefully will be a delicate transportation robot in doing task with manipulator arm. The robot is able in doing magnificent task in transporting fragile object to specific area with great accuracy. The robotic arm used on this robot is the SCHUNK modular robotic arm that already been customized. This way user could order the robot in the way this robot could fit with their needs.

Heavy Task Robot Application The iFork Flexible AGV

iFork AGV is a heavy task robot that is made from the custom modification of OMG 808 fork lift truck. The modification here includes the electrical steering mechanism. This heavy task robot is able to load up to 800kg and lift them up to 3.1m height. While carrying those payload this robot could move at 2m/s. To control the elevation, traction, and motor direction a series of microcontroller boards are installed on this robot. SICK laser based positioning unit and SICK laser scanner sensor are included on this AGV.

MIT Autom The Losing Weight Robot Controller

Collaborate with Dr. Caroline Apovian, from the Nutrition and Weight Management Center at Boston Medical Center, the research on the Autom robot is done. The research is about the development of social robot. This robot designed to have social interaction with human and help them to solve the problem. Focus on the problem, Autom try to help human in losing the weight. This weight problem is a big problem for United State. Their existence increase the economy cost related to the obesity and health problems.

Experience in Controlling and Feeling the Telesar Works

Tachi Lab since 1980 proposed the concept of Tele-Existence, and now they had worked along with the realization of that idea in robotic. Telesar they named their robot, with this robot user will experience to control robot from distance with a real time sensation that they actually exist. They will experience the interaction in remote environment as robot. The user will be feel the virtual experience while the robot works just like what the operator do from distance.

MAARS Robot: The Armed Sword Unmanned Vehicle

It was developed in 2004 by QinetiQ North America’s Technology Solutions Group, a Sword Unmanned Vehicle that armed with machine gun and four cameras named MAARS (Modular Advanced Armed Robotic System). This robot is quiet in operation but turns dangerously when starts to fire! The cameras equipped in this vehicle enable operator to operate the vehicle in distance easily. This vehicle installed with three available options of force response. From Non-lethal mode that enable operator to have an eye-safe laser to dazzle people and loudspeaker

Pipeline Inspecting Robot Used On Nigerian Pipeline Investigation

SEPTA Energy and a subsidiary of Seven Energy Group in Nigeria hired Swiss Inspection Specialists (SGS) Industrial Services for the inspection of their pipeline project that had been invested into two gas fields in Nigeria for $420 million. In this inspection a pipeline inspecting robot was used. This pipeline inspecting robot was called as the X-ray crawler, its task was to scan thousands of welds on the 60km-long gas pipeline between Ikot Abasi and the Eket Power Station in Nigeria that was operated by an inspection team of ten experts used a robotic X-ray crawler.

Sheep Mower, the Electric Sheep by Osman Khan

This creation is funny where the eating grass animal turned into an electric device and eating grass again. This electric sheep actually is a land mower which turned into an robotic sheep mower called Mower. Mower! Osman Khan is the creator, he was a visiting assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Art when he designed this sheep Mower robot. Sheep Mower can be found on the grass at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens when it became one of the BigBots for Robot 250. Equipped on this robot are electronical device to support the Mower to act like a real sheep. There are grass-moving device in its mouth, a navigational and obstacle avoidance sensors.

$30 Million Prize For Winning Lunar Race Challenge From Google Lunar X Prize

This is an unusual race challenge that funded by Google, this race entitled The Google Lunar X Prize. The Google Lunar X Prize is a competition with total prize at $30 million that will be given to first privately funded team who able to send a robot to the moon to travel 500 meter and then transfer data of video, image, and data back to earth.
