Christmas Island’s Robot Phosphates Palletizing System

One of the main resources on Christmas Island is phosphate. Phosphate mining on this place had been started since 1897 until present. Perhaps this prospect of phosphate mining became the main reason of Accuweight to offer their industrial robots to Christmas Island. It was robot model Fuji-Ace EC-201 with 1600 cycles per hour that being offered. This robot model has a high speed in palletizing bags of phosphates into sling ropes in shipping load for transportation. This robot came in complete pneumatically system like gripper, friendly touch screen display control panel, servo motor, and the most important heavy duty support base.

Qatar’s Jockey Robots On Camel Race

It might look silly that people use robot to ride on their camel on a race. But it’s already been done in Qatar as Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, banned child jockeys on that race. Robot jockey successfully introduced on an official race in 2005 and by two years all the camel that competes on the race should be directed by robot. RAQBI Center is the company that initiatively produces the jockey robots but the initial idea of using robot jockeys came from the government. RAQBI as the company that produces the robot designed five different robot jockeys with different characteristic and model.

Meet The Chinese Version Of BigDog

Dr. Wei Wang and his PhD students from Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Automation designed a robot that they called as triceratops skeleton named FROG or Four-legged Robot for Optimal Gait. Using an army camouflage clothes this camouflage robot is still incomplete and requires a plug for power. FROG was built with sensors, camera, sensing devices, and chassis. For the sensors this robot uses joint angle sensors while for the robot’s vision Dr. Wei Wang uses pan tilt camera. To get operated this robot uses Linux system and for the control system FROG controlled wirelessly via computer.

Hydrogen-Powered Robot Fish Swims For Three Days

It seems that everything is possible for Japanese. While other countries in the world were trying to create best way of powering their underwater robot the Japanese already worked on their smaller under water robot that powered with hydrogen. This underwater robot designed in a fish shape with the fuel cell inside the transparent body. Osaka City University’s academics were the designer of this robot fish. Their hydrogen-powered robot fish hydrogen power could power the robot to swim continuously for three days. Moreover, this robot was a programmable robot fish said the team.

Playing Pool With Technische Universitat Munchen’s Cue Manipulating Robot

New Developed Solar-Powered Wind Turbine

This is the new developed innovation of futuristic alternative energy. Future energy should be earth friendly and safe for human of course. In University of Liverpool scientists developed new technology that would like to be the up graded level of wind turbine. Common wind turbine uses common blades to create motion that later changed into electricity, here in Liverpool scientist tried different blades on their wind turbine. They use solar panels as part of the blades on the wind turbine. So that there will be not only wind but also solar power that will be changed into electricity. Great stuff but doesn’t mean there is no problem faced by the scientists in developing this innovative tool.
